Presented by Quality Matters Professional Development Program
Preschool suspension and expulsion are civil rights matters which early childhood programs must confront with developmentally, culturally, linguistically appropriate strategies. The root cause of suspension and expulsion of boys of color is well documented. At this training we will explore the link between traditional educational systems and the preschool to prison pipeline. We will discuss how evidence based strategies used in educational and therapeutic settings can support optimal developmental outcomes for boys. Discussion led by Shawn Bryant.
