Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC)

This 6-hour seminar will explore the I/T Learning and Development Program Guidelines. The Program Guidelines provide information about how to provide high-quality early care and education, including recommendations for program policies and the curriculum planning process that will improve program services to infants and toddlers. Participants will interact with CDE’s I/T Program Guidelines, related DVDs, and Guidelines workbook.

Making the Most of Classroom Interactions: This training is a modified version that will go in depth on the Instructional Support Domain and Dimensions.  You will learn strategies to help with engagement and critical thinking activities to help children understand concepts and to strengthen teacher knowledge on effective ways to provide higher order thinking opportunities.

This workshop concentrates on the movement and perceptual-motor skills that young children are motivated to learn and practice. With adult support, these skills set the stage for lifelong health and well-being.   • Participate in hands-on activities to understand how the Marketplace includes exchange of items and services.
  • Utilize strategies identified for dual language learners and children with special needs.
